We are very excited to announce our upcoming fundraiser and community forum - Climate Justice in the Valley.
From smog, to lack of public transit, to two of the worst environmental disasters in US history, the San Fernando Valley is the center of many, interrelated climate injustices. But it doesn’t have to stay this way. We believe that the community members who are most affected by disasters like the Aliso Canyon blowout should be the ones crafting solutions right alongside public officials. We are hosting this event to hear from our frontline communities here in the Valley and have a discussion about solutions and what a model of co-governance could look like. The climate crisis doesn’t care about bipartisanship or who co-sponsored what bill - our only chance of mitigating the worst outcomes is through action. That is why climate policy is at the heart of our campaign.
We are running to be the climate champions that the people of the San Fernando Valley deserve, because anything less than bold action will be inadequate. Please join us on Saturday at 4pm to hear what the past and future of the climate movement in CA-30 will look like!
