We’re backing Shervin Aazami to represent us in Congress, and Yasmine Pomeroy to represent us on the City Council. Advocating for a new slate of progressive candidates is so important, because they both share the same legislative agenda that will benefit our communities; we’re talking about new ideas like getting at the root of our housing crisis through a housing guarantee, halting the climate crisis through a comprehensive Green New Deal, and reimagining public safety through other legislative policies that are based in public health and care, not punitive measures or criminalization. Public officials collaborating on every level of government to deliver to constituents is so rare, but Shervin and Yasmine intend to do just that once elected!
